Ladies: Do you have HUSBANDS that do things around the house but the few little things YOU asked them to do..
They keep putting it off!!!
I just don’t know anymore how to get my husband to change a light bulb (the fixture is too heavy for me to do).
Put up a few shelevs in the pantry so food isn’t laying around.
I would attempt to do it myself and I am a person who does, I landscaped the yard while I was 6 months pregnant, but I have a rambunctious 3 yr old and a 9 month old I can hardly get the housework done!
What do I say to make him do these things? Does anyone else experience this?
Some things we can’t do together, I am trying to keep my kids away from him when he is working on something for safety reasons and to just help him finish faster. The 3 yr doesn’t nap, btw.
He works very hard at his business he owns, flooring installation, but when he does hoouse stuff it’s only landscaping. But he works generally 50-60 hours a week – hard labor. He’s not a momma’s boy believe me, he was an orphan of the court.

Get him to pay for a younger guy to do it and lets see how fast he moves.
My husband likes to “put things off until tomorrow”
which drives me crazy. Here’s how I get things done; I make sure he’s watching and I attempt to change the bulb myself.
(I’m too short so of course he comes to my rescue) I get a board an ask him “how many feet do I need to make a book
shelf?” He says “let me do that for you.”
Of course I can’t do this everyday, but if I time it right, he always falls for it.
rooney – i feel your pain, girl!
I used to ask him to do something for me and he would put it off until I got fed up and attempted to do it myself. Then he started in with “why are you doing that, I told you I would do it.” The problem we had was that I wanted things done right then, and he wanted to wait till he could get to it. (which was usually never).
Now, I have a dry erase board on the fridge that has become my HONEY, PLEASE DO list. I write in what I need him to do or help me with and I number them in order of importance to me. I have noticed that he does do most of the things on the list without me having to ask. I think it helps him to see it written down (and it is on the fridge so it is in his face every time he goes to get a drink, snack, etc.).
And I know it sounds crazy, but you know how you should give kids positive reinforcement for good behavior to encourage them to continue the good behavior . . . it works even better for the hubs!
I hope this helps!
Ask him if it is okay if you get your;
1) neighbour
2) father
3) brother
4) brother-in-law
5) mailman
to do it while he’s away at work and I’m sure that he’ll do it before he wakes up the next day!
do it urself hun if uve asked time and time again u r not getting his point hes not gonna do it. so do it urself and stop depending on a man to do the ” man jobs” or “what u ask him to do” do it urself he may end up helping u.
